KozaneⓇ launches Invicta extreme tear and abrasion resistant fabric range
KozaneⓇ begins the New Year with the launch of its latest fabric range: Invicta. Originally designed to create garments and bedding for vulnerable patients at risk of self-harm, this innovative tear and abrasion resistant fabric offers maximum protection without compromising on comfort.
Developed by Granberg’s award-winning design team, Invicta is already in use by leading NHS mental health trusts in the UK. The fabric’s unique composition offers EN 388:2016 Level 4 tear and puncture resistance as well as the additional benefit of EN 388:2016 Level 4 abrasion resistance. It is also available in a double-sided version for additional strength and longevity.
Performance and wearability
Unlike alternative fabrics, Invicta is flexible, breathable and smooth against the skin, offering optimum comfort for the wearer. The tear resistant fabric is also fully washable, making it suitable for a wide array of potential applications. Thanks to its durability and versatility, it is ideal for clothing and bedding for vulnerable patients and prisoners, as well as bite and scratch resistant clothing for mental health and special education professionals. Additional uses include, but are by no means limited to:
- protective clothing for extreme sports and motorcycling
- durable bags and luggage
- wear-resistant upholstery
- footwear
